Gotham's Dark Materials
Ever have an idea that just won't go away?

And you try and try and it keeps coming back and demanding attention?

And then you scream "LEAVE ME ALONE!" and start running in the opposite direction only to have said idea pull a batman/fightclub move and insert itselef directly in your path?

That's what this is.



Like "Plot with Rocks in it" But far more...ah...bizzare. In any case, how many of you have heard of the His Dark Materials Series by Phillip Pullman?

Okay, for those of you who haven't. There's a girl named Lyra and a guy named William Perry who live in two different worlds that end up getting smushed together when Lyra's...well, when people close to Lyra decide to mess with the natural order.

One of the coolest things about the His Dark Materials series is that everybody gets crazy little animals that follow them around. For more information on daemons and what they are Let's go to Wikipedia.

What does this have to do with Batman?

Batman TDK with Daemons in it. Ever wondered how Bruce can keep people from knowing his secret identity? Ever wonder what Batman's daemon would be? How villians like two-face work with daemons? That is what I aim to explore.

In essence, it will be identical to TDK, with daemons. Canon quotes, experiences, etc. etc. I have the novelization, followed the ARG, and have seen the movie three times. I knows what I knows. ;)

...Okay so....

I took the daemon test for Harvey at www.thegoldencompass.org-official movie site. His daemon is a snow leopard (which fits, independant thinker, refuses to give up, powerful, somewhat unique.) who's name happens to be Justica after the Roman Goddess of Justice.

What about the other characters?

I hope against hope and wish against wishing that other people might be as obessive about daemons as I am but I'm going by basic stereotypes as listed in Wikipedia. Gordon's is some kind of dog, animal shapes, etc. etc. I sincerely hope other people might be interested as I'd love to get other people's prespectives, see what's going on, etc. etc.

Absolutely not. Gotham's Dark Materials get's it's own tag. I'm just going to add it to my usual tags. :)
